This was originally intended to be a collaboration with the Star Wars Legends team - with the scope that these shots would be used in a physical book release in a tribute to the beauty of Star Wars Galaxies. Unfortunately, many factors led to this not becoming a reality. Instead, these shots were compiled into a SWG Legends Photobook and were released in a subsequent newsletter. Now, with the project's conclusion, I want to share some personal favorites from the experience.
This project was truly a labor of love that spanned six months, from August 2020 to February 2021. While I'm saddened that it didn't work out as planned, I'm so very grateful that I had this opportunity to attempt a loving tribute to this glorious video game and the greater Star Wars universe.
Special thanks to Ashley for going out to planets of interest with me and assisting on the admin side of this project. It was a ton of fun chatting, learning SWG history, and discovering beautiful environments that I hadn't seen from when the original MMO was live. I also want to thank the SWG Legends team for allowing me to see the highly anticipated Bespin (scroll to the bottom to see a few shots from that tour) expansion before release. I'm happy to say it was very well received with it now live, and I congratulate them immensely on their efforts.
Lastly, I hope you all enjoy these shots. Maybe one day this can be attempted again.
